Local Agencies Participate in Salem Prescription Drug Take Back Event
(September 26, 2014, 6:06 pm) SALEM, Ore. Marion County Sheriff's Office drop site will be in the parking lot of Roths I.G.A - Salem Police will have a drop site at Peace Plaza which is located at 555 Liberty St SE

Tomorrow The Marion County Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Drug Administration Agency and several local Police agencies will have drop sites to turn in prescription Drugs. The Marion County Sheriff's Office drop site will be in the parking lot of Roths I.G.A. which is located at 702 Lancaster Dr NE in Salem.

Salem Police will have a drop site at Peace Plaza which is located at 555 Liberty St SE in Salem. All drop sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Texas Fugitive Arrested in Woodburn, Oregon
(September 26, 2014, 6:25 am) WOODBURN, Ore. Gary Thomas fled the state of Texas in February, of this year, to avoid allowing his ex-wife full custody of their children.

Detectives from the Marion County Sheriff's Office and state prosecutors from Texas worked together to arrest 59-year-old Gary Delaine Thomas on an outstanding warrant for custodial interference.

Flu Pandemic Exercise to be Held on Thursday in Salem

A former fleet manager for the Oregon State Police resigned on Friday, following the filing of criminal charges related to an allegation reported to the OSP Office of Professional Standards.

(September 13, 2014, 11:25 am) MEHAMA, Ore. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, and a cat in a pet carrier on the front porch was rescued before fire personnel arrived.

Police to Search Around Silver Creek Falls State Park for Missing Man
(September 13, 2014, 4:00 am) SILVERTON, Ore. The vehicle associated with the missing man is a white 2014 Nissan Altima with a DMV temporary permit in the rear window, and CARR dealership placards in the license plate locations.

Washington County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue will be conducting a search of the areas around to Silver Falls State Park on Saturday for a missing Aloha, Oregon man.

Marion County Sheriff's Office Donates Old Uniform Pants to Homeless
(September 12, 2014, 2:42 pm) SALEM, Ore. The pants are a design that anyone could purchase, and they do not have any names, ranks, insignias or any markings that alone could be mistaken as a deputy sheriff's uniform.

In a recent clean-up effort, members of the Marion County Sheriff's Office Community Resource Unit found 14 boxes of uniform items that were scheduled to be destroyed.
